My Happily Ever After

 After finding out about Bill's cancer diagnosis our lives changed a lot.  We had planned on getting married in September of 2018 but moved it up to July 21, 2018.  My first wedding to Josh was done through the justice of the peace on my lunch break so I told Bill I wanted our wedding day to be memorable.  I wanted the white dress and a church wedding.  I got  to work planning and found a beautiful dress.  We had the most special wedding day and I am so blessed.  We had our reception and then we drove to Arlington and spent a few days for our honeymoon.  We went to a Rangers game.  It was my first one, I had never been before.  I loved every minute of it although the Rangers lost.  I enjoyed it because it was spent with the man I love.   Bill had been doing chemo for a few months and we were making regular trips to Houston to MD Anderson.   Once we finished the chemo he had over 40 rounds of radiation. ...

Meeting my hero

 After getting out of the hospital I went to Neches to stay with my dad.  He and his wife Nancy took care of me.  I required bandage changes, used a walker, used oxygen and had to have a suction machine to keep my trach tube clear of congestion.  There were several nights I woke them up because my tube clogged and I couldn't breathe.  I was taken by ambulance multiple times to get it cleared so I could breathe. They finally put in a trach with a removable tube that I could take out and clean.   After I left my dads I went to stay with an Aunt in mineola and got in touch with Bill Waldon, the man who saved my life.  We met and I began attending church with him.  He went to Hubbard Chapel Baptist Church. The more time we spent together the closer we got.   We knew we were attracted to each other but we were very cautious because there is a 25 year age difference between us.  So I called the preacher and asked him how God would fe...
