My Happily Ever After

After finding out about Bill's cancer diagnosis our lives changed a lot.  We had planned on getting married in September of 2018 but moved it up to July 21, 2018.  My first wedding to Josh was done through the justice of the peace on my lunch break so I told Bill I wanted our wedding day to be memorable.  I wanted the white dress and a church wedding.  I got  to work planning and found a beautiful dress.  We had the most special wedding day and I am so blessed.  We had our reception and then we drove to Arlington and spent a few days for our honeymoon.  We went to a Rangers game.  It was my first one, I had never been before.  I loved every minute of it although the Rangers lost.  I enjoyed it because it was spent with the man I love.

Bill had been doing chemo for a few months and we were making regular trips to Houston to MD Anderson.   Once we finished the chemo he had over 40 rounds of radiation.    After the radiation we just began regular dr visits to monitor his cancer.  They told us it was controlled but would never go away completely.  Eventually it will find a way around the medication he is taking but we rebuke that in Jesus name because we serve a mighty God.  Bill was told when he was diagnosed that he would only have a year or two and we are over 3 years out now.  God is mighty.

Then this past year came the virus.  Covid 19 consumed this world and guess what Bill got it.   He was tested and came back positive.  I also got it but not as severe as he did.  I ended up contacting his cancer dr and she informed me to bring him to Houston right away.  We drove out the next morning and they rushed him in and sent me away.  I had to stay at a hotel while my husband fought for his life.  He was in the hospital for 9 days.  His dr told me she wasnt sure he was gonna beat the virus and double pneumonia that he had.  They gave him remdezivir and plasma and by the grace of God he beat the virus and we go to go home.  On the day we were going home.  Our truck was stolen from the hotel parking lot where we were staying.

Come back for more.
