The Stabbing

.  So let's continue on with the story.

So we were last discussing Josh using Meth again and with his brother.  He was getting very paranoid and freaking out from not sleeping for days at a time.  He even bought a gun from a friend to keep in the house.  Although he was a felon and was not allowed to have a gun he did it anyway.  There was several times he would think he heard something outside and he would fire shots through the walls in the living room.  He was really losing it.  I was getting ready to go to my C.N.A class one night and he began accusing me of having a hidden cellphone in the house.  You see Josh didn't allow me to have a phone.  He bought one for our 6 year old daughter along with a Kindle and play station though.   However I could not have one.  Anyways he began tearing the house apart.  Pulled all the clothes out of the dresser and cut open the mattress looking for this imaginary phone.  He kept asking me where it was and where it came from and I kept telling him there was no phone anywhere.  I literally had no phone at all.   However Josh didn't believe that and he kept hitting, kicking, and pushing me down. He grabbed a hunting knife and started chasing me.  The blade was about 6 inches long with  a 2 inch wide blade at its widest point.  He eventually pinned me against the dresser and stabbed me in my thigh on my left leg.  He then cut me between the legs too.  I felt the blood rushing down my leg and knew it was a bad cut.  I had to change clothes and I wrapped my leg with a t shirt so I could go to class and no one would know I was bleeding.  I didn't even feel the cut between my legs because the pain from my leg was so bad.  I went to class and before I left he told me if I told anyone and the cops came he would slit the girls throats before they ever made it in the house.  How can one person.be this evil.  I mean it's one thing to hurt me and threaten to kill me but threatening to kill your own kids is insane.  As long as he was taking it all out on me I knew my babies were safe. I went to class that night and was in so much pain the whole time and kept having to step away to make sure blood wasn't showing through.  It was so hard to walk but I couldn't let anyone know what happened.

When I got home from work he called his sister in law, who was a registered nurse,  and told her he needed her help.  So we went to his brothers house,  she helped me in the bathtub and bandaged my wounds and said she was not gonna call the law because she didn't want Josh to go to jail.    I had two deep stab wounds and she was worried about him going to jail.  What a family I got mixed up with.  In the following days Josh changed my bandages and acted like he felt bad about what he had done.   Of course I didn't believe that he was.   Once I was healed enough things went back to usual.  Although I needed stitches probably my wounds finally healed on their own by the Grace of God.  I finished my C.N.A classes and began working as an aide and housekeeper.

There is so much more to this story but we will stop here today and I will post more in my next blog.
