My week

                                                                             March 2021

Sorry I haven't posted a new blog in a bit.  I have had a lot going on.  Tonight I am gonna stay from my story and give ya'll an update on me and what's been going on.  I have been having GI issues since I had my gallbladder out in 2019 so i had to have a colonoscopy to see what was going on.  The doctor came back and said I have Chronic Colitis so they put me on 3 weeks of steroids.   I have a follow up appointment with them next week.  My husband Bill had back surgery on March 10th.  He had a lamanectomy.  So they removed a vertebrae and shaved the one above and below.  Back in the 90's he fell off a scaffolding at work and messed his back up.  He has had a total of about 14 neck and back surgeries since then.  He was also diagnosed with stage 4 Prostate cancer in 2018 and has been fighting it as well.  We were only supposed to be in the hospital one day after this surgery but ended up being there for 5 days.  He had a blood pocket form and they had to reopen his incision and remove it.  Bless his heart he had a hard week.  Of course I stayed by his side every day.

The day we got to come home I got a call that my biological mom Tammy was not doing well.  See about 2 months ago she went to the bathroom and was bleeding a lot.  She was rushed to the hospital in Dallas and after several tests the doctor dropped a bomb.  He told her she had stage 4 uterine cancer that had already spread to her bones and there was nothing they could do.  Then a few weeks after she got out of the hospital her boyfriend of 10 years kicked her out because he couldn't handle her being sick.  Basically he didn't want to have to deal with it.  My Aunt Tina moved her into her house in Athens,Texas.  Family takes care of family.   They got her on hospice and got her emergency disability and Medicaid.  Shes been doing good until March 14 and she suddenly changed.  So when I got my husband home from the hospital I hopped in our truck and drove to Athens to see  and spend some time with her and family and to say my goodbye to her.  I spent a couple hours with her and my brother and sister and a few other family members.  As of today she is still holding on.  Although it won't be long until God welcomes her home.  We have had our issues in the past but I had to forgive and move forward.  I do love her and it breaks my heart to see her suffer.  I pray God takes her home peacefully and she will be blessed with a new body and no longer suffering.

This month, March 2021, marks 9 years that I have been free from my evil ex husband and I am so grateful to still be alive and free while he is not.   I thank God everyday for saving me and giving me a new life.

  1. I just read through your blog archive and I have to say, thank you for being so open and honest about what you’ve been through. You’re an actual superwoman for what you did for your babies, there’s no manual for motherhood and it goes to show you have true fighter instincts. God is good!!
